Midland Veterans Track & Field League South Division

B&R’s men finished 2nd and our women were 3rd in the opening match of the Midland Veterans Track & Field League South Division at Nunnery Wood in Worcester. Results There was a host of new club records:

Pete Mould in his first year as a M60 took almost 3 seconds off the old M60 100m record reducing it from 16.0 to 13.4. Pete now has the M40, M45, M50 M55 and M60 100m club records.

Len Quartly improved his own M70 2k walk record by 11 seconds to 12:15.1.

The men’s relay team of Scoltock, Hartshone (Dean in his first vets league appearance), Freeman and Apley-Davis lowered last year’s 2 x 200m M35 club record to 1:48.3. Ann Stuart returned to the track and set a new W50 1500m club record of 6:24.7.
